The Short Version

AMS is a business management tool built for artists and makers. We want to help you succeed. You use AMS to manage your products, sales, and operations. We provide the platform and keep it running. These terms describe what we each agree to.

Who We Are

Artist Management Studio (AMS) is operated by Artist Management Studios. We started as a tool for a family jewelry business and grew into a platform for independent artists and small creative businesses. You can reach us anytime at admin@artistmanagementstudios.com.

Your Account

  • You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
  • One subscription covers one business. If you run multiple businesses, each needs its own subscription.
  • You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use AMS.

What You Can Do

With an active AMS subscription, you can:

  • Manage your product catalog, pricing, and inventory
  • Track sales, orders, and business expenses
  • Connect third-party services like Shopify and Stripe
  • Generate reports and export your data
  • Invite employees to help manage your business

Your Data, Your Business

You own your data. Everything you put into AMS — products, sales records, images, business information — belongs to you. We do not claim any ownership or license over your content.

  • You can export your data at any time.
  • If you cancel your subscription, your data remains available for 30 days so you can export it.
  • If you request account deletion, we permanently remove all your data within 30 days.

Third-Party Integrations

AMS connects with services like Shopify and Stripe to extend what you can do. When you connect a third-party service:

  • You authorize AMS to access your data on that service within the permissions you grant.
  • You can disconnect at any time, which immediately revokes access.
  • Third-party services have their own terms and privacy policies. We encourage you to review them.
  • We are not responsible for outages, changes, or issues with third-party services.

Payments & Subscription

  • AMS is a paid subscription service billed monthly through Stripe.
  • Your subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel.
  • You can cancel anytime from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — no partial refunds for unused time.
  • We may change pricing with 30 days’ notice. Price changes do not apply to your current billing period.

Acceptable Use

We trust our users to act in good faith. Please don’t:

  • Use AMS for anything illegal or harmful
  • Attempt to access other users’ data
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the platform
  • Share your account credentials with unauthorized people
  • Use automated tools to overload our systems

If we believe an account is being misused, we may suspend or terminate it. We’ll try to reach out first whenever possible.

What We Provide

We work hard to keep AMS reliable and useful, but we want to be honest:

  • AMS is provided “as is.” We do our best, but we cannot guarantee the service will be error-free or uninterrupted.
  • We are not a substitute for professional accounting, legal, or tax advice. AMS is a management tool — please consult professionals for financial and legal decisions.
  • We regularly improve AMS and may add, change, or remove features. We’ll communicate significant changes in advance.

Limitation of Liability

We care about your business, but we need to set reasonable limits:

  • AMS is not liable for lost profits, data loss, or indirect damages arising from your use of the service.
  • Our total liability for any claim related to AMS is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
  • This doesn’t affect any rights you have under consumer protection laws that can’t be waived.

Ending Your Account

  • You can leave anytime. Cancel your subscription and request account deletion from your dashboard or by emailing us.
  • We may terminate accounts that violate these terms, but we’ll give you notice and a chance to export your data except in cases of serious misuse.

Changes to These Terms

If we update these terms, we’ll change the “Last updated” date at the top. For significant changes, we’ll notify active users via email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of AMS after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved in good faith first — we’d rather talk it through than involve lawyers.
